This site is a journal of my experiences as a General Agent. Despite the seemingly dull nature of the insurance business it is actually quite interesting…to me anyway.
Who am I? What’s it to you? :) Heh, actually I’m going to keep the “Agent Lead” pen name to protect my business (and clients) so that I can get a little lippy if I feel the need without the fear of internet publishing recourse.
I’m starting this journal as part of a resolution to take action on my bucket list. I’ve been “planning” do so something like this for over 7 years now so, yeah, I can procrastinate with the best of them.
While I feel like I’m talking to myself here, it is probably fitting as I’m not sure who will visit the site but me. For anyone that does stop by I plan on sharing some of my experiences and advice as a GA and in the insurance biz with a heavy focus on the growth. I will specifically be covering marketing, lead management and technology aspects which I feel is the key to getting established and growing an agency. Any successful agency will need people with good sales and product knowledge skills. The ability to market and leverage technology for organization and automation is where many drop the ball. I do plan to use the site partially as my own bookmark depository. If I think a site is useful or cool anyone reading might also.
